Abstract Background The real prevalence and incidence of women living with or at risk female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) is unknown in Switzerland many parts Europe, as there are no representative surveys similar to DHS MICS for European countries. Indirect estimates commonly used estimate the number FGM/C high-income countries, but may not reflect actual among migrants. Direct measures provide more accurate that could guide policy- clinical decision-making. Swiss hospital data a sample patients can be describe hospitals.
